iii. ___Origin_____
Slade Wilson was always a strong, determined personality. As a young man, he lied about his age to get into the Army. He quickly distinguished himself and became one of the youngest decorated soldiers. During a guerrilla warfare training session, he was bested by his instructor, Adeline Kane, a woman who matched his fiery personality and superior fighting skills. Sparks ignited immediately between the two, and they quickly fell in love and wed. Shortly thereafter, Adeline gave birth to a son, Grant. Slade continued on active duty, and volunteered for a medical experiment in resisting truth serums.
The experiment left Slade weakened and bedridden for a time. The experiment, unbeknownst to anyone but Slade, had an unforeseen side effect: it gave Slade enhanced strength and heightened reflexes. Shortly after this, Adeline gave birth to a second son, Joseph. After resisting orders to rescue life long friend, Wintergreen, Slade was discharged from the army. He took up hunting for a while, but it failed to quench his thirst for the life he once led. Unknown to his wife and family, Slade secretly became a mercenary known as Deathstroke, the Terminator.
One of his assignments, Slade assassinated a Colonel from the country of Quarac. The president from Quarac sent a terrorist known as the Jackal to find Slade, and find out who hired him to kill the Colonel. To gain leverage, the Jackal kidnapped a young Joseph Wilson. This forced Slade to admit to his wife that he was secretly the mercenary known as Deathstroke, the Terminator. Adeline and Slade together confronted the Jackal. Slade refused to give the Jackal the information he requested, because it would violate his professional code of ethics. It was foolish of him, but he gambled that he could react fast enough to save his son; it was succession in saving his son's life, but not before one of Jackal's men had begun to slit his throat. Joseph was now mute.
Adeline, furious at Slade's betrayal and risking her son's life, confronted Slade with a gun. Slade's quick reflexes saved his life, but he lost his right eye due to the gunshot inflicted by his wife. Adeline then divorced Slade and raised her two sons by herself. Grant followed in his father's footsteps and attended military school. Joseph, however, was quite different from his brother; He was a kind, gentle soul who flourished in the arts. Joseph was both a talented artist and musician. Adeline nurtured this side of Joseph, and he grew up to be a fine young man under Adeline's care.
Slade continued his activities as the mercenary, Deathstroke, the Terminator. Although a mercenary, Slade did keep his own personal code of ethics, taking only jobs his conscience would allow him to. A few years after his divorce from Adeline, Slade met Lillian "Sweet-Lili" Worth, an Oriental clan princess whose life fell in ruins. It was Slade who brought Lili from war-torn Cambodia to Thailand, where she would have relative freedom. Slade and Lili remained in contact, embarking an on/off love affair whenever their paths crossed. During one of their trysts, Slade impregnated Lili, who later gave birth to Rose Worth; Slade's daughter. Lili kept Rose a secret from Slade, rationalizing it was in the child's best interest to do so.
A few years later, Slade casually refused a job that would change his life forever. The criminal organization known as the H.I.V.E. offered Slade a contract to kill the Teen Titans. Slade refused. But Slade's son, Grant, assumed the contract himself. The bitter Grant perceived that the Titans had ruined his life and sought to exact his revenge through this contract with the H.I.V.E. Given powers and a costume, Grant became the Ravager. Seeking to destroy the Teen Titans, Grant succeeded only in destroying himself. Slade vowed to destroy the Titans himself, in an effort to honor his son's contract. This contract, however, was discarded; a contract which would forever haunt the mercenary.
Over the years, he fought his own demons as well as the children that tormented him so. Each time resulted in the death of a piece of himself, along with those of the Teen Titans. His son, Joseph, was such a victim of circumstance; he had spun into a bout of insanity and lost himself within it, attempting to murder the Teen Titans, along with his own father. After a perilous fight against his son, and the Wildebeests', Deathstroke was forced to impale his own child on his promethium blade, thus "freeing" him and spinning him into a renewed bout of suicidal missions. Such news was soon relayed to his wife, Adeline, whom then wished even more to destroy the husband that destroyed her life, as well as both of her sons'.
The act of murdering his own son still haunts him to this very day, even more so as it surfaced that Joseph had transferred his conscious into his father's mind (and would later force him to murder his own best friend, Wintergreen). The point following the death of Joseph was a rocky trail, leading him through roads that left him at the side and at the throats of all the Titans, close-knit relationships forming betwixt them all. Gar Logan, in particular, had reached an understanding with Deathstroke, no longer hating him as he had, but now understanding the burden he had carried upon his shoulders all of those years.
After Slade thwarted an assassination attempt on the President of the United States, he was subsequently framed for the murder of a U.S. Senator. The man responsible had taken on the identity of the Ravager and was hunting down Slade's friends and loved ones. Eventually with the help of the Titans and Sarge Steel, Slade was able to prove his innocence, and the true culprit was revealed to be Steve Dayton, under the alias of the Crimelord, who had again succumbed to mental instability caused by his Mento helmet. Meanwhile, his relationship with his estranged wife Adeline took a tragic turn as Slade underwent a process to gain regeneration power, allowing him to survive any wound so long as his brain is intact. After gaining the power, Slade was forced to give his wife a blood transfusion, resulting in her gaining a similar healing factor which manifested itself as a form of immortality. This drove Adeline insane, shaming Deathstroke into going into a semi-retirement state.
At a later point, Deathstroke teamed up with the Titans to face his Adeline, who in her insane state, had revived The H.I.V.E. and sought to rid the world of all superhumans, blaming them for Jericho's death. During the battle, interrupted by Vandal Savage and a band of villains that he had organized from recent Titan battles, Adeline's throat was slit and begged Slade to kill her, since her version of her healing factor wouldn't heal the wound but allow her to live in spite of it.Deathstroke refused, but Koriand'r, aka Starfire of the Teen Titans shocked her teammates and Deathstroke by using her starbolt blast to disintegrating her completely, per Adeline's wishes. This was a turning point, as Deathstroke renounced all ties with the Titans as a result of this act of mercy on Starfire's part.
It was, then, revealed that Jericho managed to transfer his consciousness into Deathstroke in the instant before his death. Taking control of his father, Jericho forced Deathstroke to murder his longtime butler, mentor, and companion Wintergreen. He then launched a series of attacks against the current Teen Titans, most notably shattering Impulse's knee with a shotgun blast, before leaving his father's body. Deathstroke has since manipulated his one remaining child, Rose Wilson, into the mercenary business as the new Ravager, in order to find and kill Jericho.
During the crisis inflicted by Lex Luthor, Deathstroke was enlisted as a bodyguard for Doctor Light, who was being chased by the Justice League. In the ensuing battle, Deathstroke nearly beat the team of Elongated Man, the Flash, Zatanna, Hawkman, Green Arrow, Black Canary, the Atom, and Green Lantern. He systematically took out every member except for Rayner, whom he had the potential to disable through trying to usurp his ring's energies using his own formidable willpower. But before the outcome of this conflict with Rayner ended, Green Arrow stuck an arrow in Deathstroke's right eye socket and he beaten by the combined efforts of the League in a brawl. Dr. Light rescued them both and since then he has had malice towards Green Arrow in particular.
Following the Crisis, apparently in hiding, he nearly murders a crony of several Star City businessmen who want to hire him for a murder. Before finishing his violent refusal, he asks the name of the target; when informed that it was to be the mayor of Star City, Oliver Queen (whom Deathstroke knows is secretly Green Arrow), he spares the lackey and decides to take the job. However, things don't quite go according to plan, with Green Arrow using the resources of both his identites, outfighting Deathstroke and then trapping him within a ring of armed National Guardsmen. The fight ends with Deathstroke's arrest and subsequent conviction and incarceration; however, this is revealed as a ploy to gain access to another jailed foe of Green Arrow's who has information on the hero's activities in the last year, which include Green Arrow studying under an assassin whom once trained Deathstroke himself.

v. ___Powers_____
Known Powers: Augmented physical and mental attributes; instantaneous healing factor.
• Enhanced Intelligence: Ninety percent, leaving him at a remarkable eighty percent above the common human's thought pattern, has left him as a staggering master tactician. He has the ability to think out a fight on his feet; known, as well, to plot out beforehand as to draw out his enemy and exploit their weaknesses for his personal gain in a contract, if needed.
• Healing Factor: His healing factor - long since the experiments - has been exploited and manipulated far past its original recognition; now he is not limited by death. An inhuman healing factor allows him to heal from many minor wounds in less than an hour, as well as allowing him to revive from beyond death and recover in no longer than a day.
• Enhanced Human Abilities: Heightened by the experiments, he is able to react on a dime, dodging nearly anything thrown in his direction. His stamina, endurance, reflexes, senses, and even strength have been augmented to a nearly-perfect level. He can sniff out an enemy much similar to an animal, react in a flash instant, and even has the ability to tackle down an elephant with no more than a rifle. He is not quite on par with Superman, yet he certainly surpasses the Dark Knight in his capabilities.
